Korian Foundation takes on work

Free online course on stress management for nursing staff starts in November

With the "Korian Foundation for Care and Ageing with dignity" established in mid-February, Korian Germany is further expanding its social commitment to high-quality care and dignified ageing.

The Foundation supports innovative projects and initiatives in the care of the elderly and in the health care system. The Foundation's work focuses above all on the nursing staff. The corona crisis has once again highlighted the systemic relevance of this professional group. In order to maintain nursing care, it is more important than ever to support and strengthen nursing staff in their everyday work.

The "Korian Foundation for Care and Aging with dignity" is a non-profit trust foundation under the management of the former member of the Bundestag and spokesperson for care policy Elisabeth Scharfenberg. Eckart von Malsen is responsible for finances and legal matters. The Munich office of the Korian Foundation is headed by Viola Baumgärtner, consultant and project manager.

"It is a great pleasure for me to be able to help establish this important foundation. The well-being of the nursing staff has always been my driving force in my work as a member of the Bundestag. In the Korian Foundation I can now actively contribute to this. In each of our projects, the focus will be on the nursing staff," promises Elisabeth Scharfenberg. "Our very first project directly addresses the everyday work of the nursing staff.

The free online course "Stress management and self-care - especially for caregivers" helps caregivers to better master stressful situations while at the same time paying attention to their own needs. The online course starts in mid-November and will be presented at the German Nursing Day on 11 and 12 November 2020. Registration for the course is now possible here: www.projekte.korian-stiftung.de
